Davne 1974.god.na prijedlog Osnovne organizacije Saveza komunista sela osnovan je fudbalski klub ¨Orahovica¨. U inicijativnom odboru bili su: Mehmed Hodžic, Muhamed Selimovic, Abdurahman Džinic i Fuad Karic. Iako veoma mlad klub je u svom pocetku zabilježio niz uspjeha. Iz opštinske lige Lukavac ušao je u Podrucnu Ligu Tuzla, a iste godine na turniru povodom Dana borca, ¨Orahovica¨ je osvojila drugo mjesto.
 Prvi tim Orahovice, cinili su:
 
V. Babic, S. Karic, Dž. Selimovic, Z. Selimovic, M. Selimovic, G. Radomirovic, K. Hajric, V. Ahmeljic, i M. Selimovic,( stoje ), A.Džinic, M. Dedic, E. Zahirovic, E. Avdic, H. Barakovic, i E. Mujakovic (slika 1). Najbolji igrac u tom periodu bio je Zijo Selimovic ( kapiten ). Boja kluba bila je : crvena. Kasnijom reorganizacijom lige FK.Orahovica postaje clan Opštinske Lige, da bi se ubrzo plasirala u meduopštinsku ligu. FK. Orahovica osvajac je više puta Opštinskog kupa. Dobrim igrama FK.Orahovica ubrzo ulazi u viši rang Regionalnu ligu. O jacini te lige dovoljno govore podaci da su je cinili vecim dijelom uglavnom klubovi iz gradova širom BIH.( Natron-Maglaj, Odžak, Srebrenik, Modrica, Bos.Brod….) U toj ligi FK.Orahovica se takmicila sve do pocetka rata 1992.godine, kada klub usljed ratnih dejstava prestaje sa radom.
 U toku agresije na BiH 1992-95.god., klub je izgubio svoja dva igraca, koji su dali svoje živote za slobodu Bosne i Hercegovine, a to su: Mahmutovic Husejn ( Huso) i Enes Mešic ( Šljivo). Nažalost NK.Orahovica 74, izgubila je nedavno i dva mlada clana (golmana): Bajric Edisa i Mujakovic Emira, koji su nesretno okoncali svoje živote. Danas se u pomen ovih igraca Orahovice, u junu svake godine ;održava memorijalni turnir u malom-nogometu na stadionu Barice, gdje ucešce uzmu mnoge ekipe sa citave Opštine. Svake godine održi se i utakmica bivših asova kluba -Veterana i NK.Orahovica 74, koja bude posebno atraktivna.
 Nakon rata, rad kluba je obnovljen i od tada nosi naziv NK. Orahovica 74.U tom periodu savjet MZ Orahovica Donja na celu sa Kulic Senadom je pokrenuo aktivnosti.Omer Mujcic-Remac je sredio tuseve i vodoinstalacije u svlacionici,stavio u upotrebu klubsku tombolu iz koje se klub i danas finansira.Prvi poslijeratni predsjednik je bio Dzinic Abdurahman,a prvi trener do 2000 je Enes Zahirovic.Zamjenik je bio Karic Nasmer koji je na osnovu odluke predsjednistva isao u Njemacku i od donatora donio komplet opremu za cijelu ekipu.U predsjednistvu su tada radili od 1995-2000 :Abdurahman Dz.,Nasmer Karic,Senad Zahirovic,Enes Mesic,Vehid Babic,Avdic Mrko,Mahmutovic Abdulah a kasnije i drigi.To su bili najzasluzniji ljudu koji su pokrenuli rad kluba po zavrsetku rata. NK.Orahovica ponovo krece iz pocetka i takmici se u Opštinskoj ligi Gracanica. Medutim iz utakmice u utakmicu klub reda uspjehe i ulazi u viši rang 2.Kantonalnu ligu TK. Dobrim igrama i uspjesima na terenu NK.Orahovica 74, pod upravom Nasmera Karica i Vahida Bajrica,( 2001. god.)postaje clan 1.Kantonalne lige TK, ciji je i danas clan. Kroz ovaj klub prodefilovali su mnogi veliki igraci, igraci koji su zabilježili svoje nastupe u višim rangovima pa cak i u Premijer ligi BiH.( Tako je npr. u bivšoj državi u Republickoj ligi za Jedinstvo iz Bihaca igrao naš igrac Mujakovic Ibrahim(Brajce), u redovima Orahovice igrao je i prof. Selimovic Mirsad koji je svojim atraktivnim potezima mamio uzdahe navijaca, Nermin Karic( Dota) clan je Radnickog iz Lukavca koji igra u 1 ligi FBiH, Jasmin Muratovic igrao je u Premijer ligi BiH za klub Gradina iz Srebrenika, Hasic Nihad igrao je za Brastvo iz Gracanice i mnogi drugi.), NK.Orahovica 74 danas je, pored gracanickog Brastva najtrofejniji klub na opštini Gracanica.
